"From January 1999 till 2008 I was member of the Executive Board of Endress+Hauser and responsible for all the Sales and Marketing related activities of the company. Mr.Michael Herzog reported throughout these years to me directly as Director for global customer services.

When he joined this position customer services in Endress+Hauser were largely a reactive business. Problems with instruments were fixed and repairs were executed. Many of these services were not charged to customers. Under Mr. Herzog's leadership added value services like maintenance contract or commissioning services were developed and appropriate processes and IT-Tools implemented. All this was very successful. Today the Service Business counts for a 3-digit-Million Euro Net Sales, it is growing and profitable.

Beside his main responsibility as Global Director Customer Services, Mr. Herzog directed our Sales Center in Japan since he speaks Japanese fluently and because of his deep understanding of Business and Culture in Japan. His consultancy in this field was very important to me and it helped strongly to develop our business in Japan successfully.

From 2008 to 2016 I became the COO of Endress+Hauser and Mr. Herzog reported in this period indirectly to me. But his responsibilities were unchanged and continued to be a success.

2016 I retired from the Executive Board and I was elected as Vice President to the Supervisory Board of the company. I followed his further development when he changed to become the Director of Quality and Business Excellence. This task he develops with success again.

Mr. Michael Herzog is a Senior Executive with a global understanding of Business and deep experience in all Service Businesses and the management of businesses in Japan. He can lead large organizations und establish processes and the corresponding IT."
